Sri Lanka Spatial Data Infrastructure

Welcome to Sri Lanka Spatial Data Infrastructure (SLSDI)

SDI has been initiated by the government and aim to enhance the awareness about availability of spatial data and improve access facilities to spatial information. SDI consists of metadata, spatial data, policies, standards, technology and facilities for sharing geospatial information among participating agencies and general public. This effort will help to avoid duplication of spatial datasets by producers. SDI is a base for spatial data exploration, identification of required datasets and producers, evaluation of existing datasets within the government and non-government agencies as well as academic and normal public.

Users of this portal can search for spatial information using data producers, themes, nearest city, etc.

SDI facilitate sharing spatial data among participating agencies and access datasets which are available for free access.
